As BIM Manager at CenterPoint Engineering, I lead and manage the Revit implementation process for the structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing disciplines. My responsibilities include Revit training, troubleshooting support, development of best practice procedures for project setup and various modeling tasks and maintaining BIM standards. As a structural designer, I am responsible for the design calculations for masonry, structural steel, wood and concrete structures. I also perform connection design and detailing as required for each project. The Precast Concrete Engineering Group of TRC provides engineering design and drafting services to the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Industry. The company has expertise in all types of structures including parking garages, industrial facilities, sports stadiums, correctional facilities, multi-unit housing, hotels, schools and office buildings. As a design engineer, I was responsible for the design of precast/prestressed concrete structural components, architectural cladding panels and connections. My engineering duties also included analyzing lifting, transportation and erection effects/requirements on precast components. I also collaborated with engineers from PCI certified precast manufactures to coordinate designs and production standards.
