Soon learnt the nuances around cold calling and exploring new vertical markets.Became trainee salesman of the year in 1984 and then followed it on with Salesman of the year in 1987 - no mean feat with a sales force of over a 100 colleagues.The desire to travel and explore ( or a reluctance to commit ?) saw me venturing across the Atlantic to Bermuda which certainly broadened my knowledge and experiences of the business world.
