Experience Leading or Helping Other Adults Improve Their PracticeMentor for Colleague - I mentored a colleague while she completed her master’s program at Indiana Wesleyan University. Responsibilities included but were not limited to observations, critique lessons, guidance for assignments, and moral support.Hanover College Student Teacher- I was a mentor teacher for a student from Hanover College. Responsibilities included but were not limited to observations, helping design lessons, using data to drive instruction, evaluating lessons, and being a source of knowledge for him to learn from. Hanover College Methods- I have mentored eleven students from Hanover College for their Math/Science methods class. Responsibilities included but were not limited to demonstrating various teaching methods, helping design lesson series, evaluating lessons, and providing feedback at the end of the semester.Sharing with staff- Throughout the school year I sent information to staff via email about various topics in education. I gathered information from the Indiana Department of Education, Learning Connection, Blogs, and Twitter. Twitter is a great resource for professional development.Helping Staff- Throughout the school year I lend my services to all employees. The type of activities included: helping teachers set up their iPads to be used with LCD projectors, helping teachers with discipline issues during difficult situations, giving advice about instruction, helping custodians with heavy objects, and showing teachers where to look on Learning Connection to find IEPs.PD 360- PD 360 is an online professional development site. I was one of three teachers to receive this training and shared the knowledge I gained with two grade levels. Harmony-Online student information system, I was one of two teachers to receive this training and shared the knowledge with my grade level. I am the person to go to for answers about this program in the building.
