The safeguarding or Protected Health Information (PHI) is of utmost importance to Sonic Healthcare USA. I work closely with the Sonic Healthcare USA Chief Compliance Officer, whose responsibilities include safeguarding the privacy of PHI such as how PHI is used to protect information from unauthorized access. My focus is on Electronic PHI such as patient identifying information that is created, received, maintained or transmitted including over the internet, stored on a computer, a CD, or other electronic means. In this role I oversee and coordinate security efforts across the company to ensure the proper security of protected health information including but not limited to our daily operations, oversight of the annual and ongoing risk assessments, the development, implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures across all SHUSA divisions. In addition I will lead investigations and the tracking of security incidents to assess breaches according to federal and state laws.

Responsible for the transition and transformation for IT services including network, security, desktop, server, storage, data center, telecom and field support across the US. Sonic's vision is a unified global infrastructure utilizing standards for both hardware and software on internally supported assets. The key initiatives are migrating the 8 divisions into a single domain, deploying unified communications, and stand up two data centers in the US.

Responsible for the delivery of IT services for the St. John Hospitals in Detroit as well as affiliated physician offices. St John is part of Ascension Health. Managed Network Delivery for the SJPHS leading a team of motivated professionals redesigning the Riverside Data Center network as well as hospital connectivity.

Responsible for the engineering and support of the Symantec global network. This includes negotiating Service Level Agreements, creating a global operations strategy and standardizing network technologies.

I have taken on new responsibilities with the Symantec account. Working with a great team of engineers/operators/tools/NOC supporting Firewall, Load Balancers, Routers, Switches, Telecom (legacy and VoIP) as well as supporting tools. This is a truly global team working together to improve service delivery to Symantec.

Responsible for the OnStar, Wireless and Network Advanced Services Teams.

Responsible for the Engineering and Network Advanced Services Team supporting General Motors. This group of five CCIEs created best practices, network audits and provided training to EDS/HP staff members. The On-Star Network Engineers (EDS) revamped the global network and achieved the GM CIO award! The Wireless engineering team supported EDS corporate, GM, and a variety of clients globally. The overall team included resources from the US, Brasil, India and Australia who worked seamlessly.

Sonar Technician First Class (Surface Warfare) stationed at FLTCORGRU 1. Deployed with SpecWar team to the Pacific in support of Naval objectives. Served onboard the USS Ramsey (FFG-2) completing two deployments specializing in acoustic analysis.
