Carbon Reduction Officer, Hertfordshire County Council (2-year Fixed Contract)Promoted carbon reduction across 560 schools to mitigate Carbon Reduction Commitments. Targeted mostly at schools over whom HCC had no direct energy use control, but whose CRC payments were still met by the Council. Activities included:• Management of a £1 million HCC Salix energy loan fund. • Energy audits / guidance on best practice / provision of clear options.• Compilation of energy needs across the county into a strategic resource.• Promotion of energy self-analysis via web accessible utility meter monitoring.• Presentations at: schools, governor groups, and annual head teacher forums.• Delivery of energy guidance via other mixed communication routes.• Delivery of PV / biomass / fabric insulation / zone control / new lights etc.• Authoring and delivering reports to senior management board meetings.
