And, for over 12 years I have been introducing people to their potential as a certified coach, coaching educator and mentor, working mostly with high performing athletes and leaders. Mayors are the super heroes we have elected to lead the creation of thriving communities! They are our best hope to lead the evolution of our townscapes, cityscapes and the services they provide in sustaining the highest quality of living for the 80% of us who choose urban dwelling.A mayor’s leadership role is multi-faceted, blending CEO, Steward, Visionary, Mentor, Spokesperson, Authority and Head Coach. A Mayor’s technical portfolio is diverse including their municipality’s built form and infrastructure, corporate administration, civic governance, social and recreational programming and services, safety, fire and protection. On top of all their responsibilities, Mayors are also often the favourite target of the vocal public, bloggers and media, adding to the weight of office. I want to help Mayors thrive, personally and professionally. My unique blend of city building expertise, coaching and teaching provide me with a powerful skill set ideally suited to supporting the women and men on their mayoral journey. I'm a retired landscape architect with over 31 years consulting experience planning, designing and building municipal infrastructure and public realm projects, mainly in the role of team lead and design director. And, a high performance competition coach in university varsity athletics. My passion is to help people thrive, nurturing their mindset and embracing stewardship of self, community and planet. My unique gift is my ability to personalize every team member’s peak potential, to craft amazing teams and design legacies.

Home Based Teaching and Consulting using my award winning home. Throughout the planning, financing, approvals, design and even construction stages of my home I found it difficult, if not impossible, to find relevant Ontario-based information to assist in the decision making process. Once completed I decided to use my home and its integrated systems as a teaching prototype. I formed H2OMES, a home-based teaching and consulting service. I promoted conservation and energy efficiency through my seminars.
