• Established the new Energy Advice Team by recruiting the remaining members, who reported directly to this post.• Shaped the Energy Advice Service by designing the referral, advice and monitoring processes.• Identified areas of challenges / opportunities such as condensation issues, capped gas supplies, fuel switch program etc., and formulated strategies to tackle these.• Summarised the funders´ requirements and devised advice record forms to collate necessary data for monitoring and reporting purposes.• Working with the Communication Manager, designed service information, advice leaflets and promotional materials to introduce the service to customers.• Gave talks and presentations to customer groups, staff and the Board to encourage referrals to the service and to report achievements.• Worked with internal colleagues and external partners to provide a more holistic service to tenants to improve tenancy sustainment. Set up home help referral partnership with Fresh Start and British Heart Foundation that assisted vulnerable tenants to receive free furniture and furnishing. • Identified opportunities to explore and to test innovating energy efficiency device and financial assistance model. Developed partnership with external organisations on these.• Explored and applied successfully for new funding for the service. Reported regularly to funders and the Board on progress and achievements.Achievement:• Being the first member of staff recruited into the Team, successfully established and shaped the service so that it became fully functional within two weeks of its formation. Developed the service to provide invaluable assistance on home energy matters to customers for the last two years. The service has since provided advice to over 1,600 households and saved customers on average in excess of £200 per household per annum. The service has now been made a permanent feature within the organisation.
