• Assisted Randy DeGering on 5 check fraud/felony theft cases investigated by the Economic Crime Division• Wrote official investigative reports containing the evidence required to obtain search warrants in both El Paso and Teller County• Researched suspects’ bank records on 5 cases in order to discover additional businesses that were victims of check fraud• Called an average of 10 businesses on each case to see if the suspect had paid restitution• During our investigation on one case, the suspect was arrested after stealing $50,000 of merchandise using fraudulent checksCurrently, I am gathering statistical data at the First Appearance Center in El Paso County Combined Court
