Lead the on-site transportation team at the Northeast regional distribution center to service all the Family Dollar stores in the northeast territory to include managing a remote cross dock facility that services the five boroughs of NYC to include Long Island, NY. The team coordinates over 40,000 store deliveries per year utilizing 3 dedicated transportation providers and is responsible for the maintenance and associated expenses of 400 trailers. Provide liason between stores, carriers, and distribution center. Two Direct salaried reports and 21 indirect reports. Two on-site and one off-site carrier management teams. Provide remote leadership and guidance to managers and teams. Build and manage carrier relationships. Manage and report more than 840+ internal store customers.
