I have been working with clay for 40 years. I set up my first studio in 1973. I work with stoneware clay, using pinch and coil handbuilding techniques to form both functional and sculptural high-fired clay pieces. Textures are accentuated using stains, washes, and wood ash glazes. Pieces are fired in reduction (gas), soda, and wood-fired kilns.
