• Serve as Lead Crew Member of an Advance Life Support ambulance.• Respond to emergency calls related to fire suppression, emergency medical services, technical rescue and hazardous materials operations.• Initiate and apply appropriate medical treatment including rescue, first aid and advanced life support according to standard and accepted protocol and the latest technology available.• Serve as lead instructor for fire, medical, hazmat and technical rescue training.• Serve in the Emergency Operations Center during large scale emergencies.• Issue hot work permits and ensure safe work operations.• Enter inspection, training, incident and emergency medical reports according to department standard operating procedures.• Conduct audits of reports and review them for accuracy and to ensure policy compliance. • Conduct inspections of fixed fire protection systems.• Serve as Program Manager of consumable supplies for the departments Emergency Medical Service, order, track and maintain $75,000 dollars of supplies annually.• Serve Assistant Program Manager of the Rescue and Hazmat Program.• Serve as a member of the NFPA 1500 committee to design and implement workplace processes and procedures that help protect workers from hazardous work conditions.• As a committee member I Inspect, test, and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure that they follow safety standards and regulations.• Design and implement workplace processes and procedures that help protect workers from hazardous work conditions• Evaluate programs on workplace health and safety• Educate employers and workers about workplace safety by preparing and providing training programs and presentations. • Demonstrate the correct use of safety equipment.• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action activities resulting from employee injuries and incidents.
