Technical Director of Pall R&D is responsible forthe following: Ensures that Pall Corporation is investing properly in R&D projects which maintain a leading-edgeposition in the core technology that Technical Director is responsible for. Guides and directs various Project Managers in planning, developing, and coordinating multipleimportant material and/or product development programs important to strategic core technologies. Establishes and develops relationships with Marketing, Sales and external customers to lead thedevelopment of application specific performance requirements or the validation of new products,equipment or processes. Is directly aligned to Pall LOBs in terms of technology roadmap plans andfosters a “LOB expectation” for the work conducted within the group. Contributes to Corporate inventions / patents through the development of new products and /ormaterials. Investigates, uses, and exploits, new areas of research or technology, that offers opportunity andeconomic advantage to the Corporation. Analyzes and evaluates commercial, government and academic literature and patents of special interestto the Corporation and will use this information to provide recommendations which can lead to majorproduct improvements or strategic positioning of the Corporation's current products or processes overthat of its competitors. Coordinates the use of intensive and diversified knowledge of scientific/technological principles andpractices to a broad range of novel or complex assignments requiring the development of new orimproved materials, processes and products.

The Senior R&D Scientist is charged with carrying out these duties and responsibilities:1. Designs and develops products, materials, and/or processes without direct supervision.2. Lab Technician is responsible for independently performing the following duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision: 1. Calculate and prepare laboratory formulations and chemical solutions.2. Perform laboratory screening of new membrane formulations3. Perform manufacturing screening of new membrane formulations working with manufacturing equipment and personnel during R/D pilot runs.4. Independently prepare, set-up, and run manufacturing scale experimental belt runs.5. Have a basic knowledge of how processing conditions influence membrane properties.6. Collect, analyze, interpret, and report data and experimental findings7. Fabricate and/or modify experimental apparatus or manufacturing equipment.8. Assist in the development of new testing methods or procedures.9. Perform routine and specialized QC of developmental membranes.10. Provides general laboratory and administrative support including, but not limited to, inventory maintenance, safety audits, and maintenance and upkeep of the laboratory and warehouse.11.
