The primary product of Philips Oral Healthcare is the Sonicare toothbrush, a class 1 medical device. My primary job responsibility was to take the lead role in designing new Sonicare products and accessories. I typically lead the mechanical design effort from industrial design to full industrialization up to production release of the SKU. Prior to this position, I worked as the technical lead for the life cycle support group. The LCS group was essentially sustaining engineering. The job responsibilities were to create and manage change orders that addressed product improvement, manufacturing deviation, and cost reduction efforts to released products. POHC is registered to comply with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001:2000 and development of the device is regulated under the FDA. While at POHC, I used Pro/e to design products.

Leviton manufactures data communication products for both commercial and residential applications. I was a mechanical engineer III in the product development group. I took the lead role in developing telecommunications connector solutions which included fiber optic and category 6 connectors and their associated accessories. Standard design engineering tasks include developing, prototyping, validating, and documenting designs for new products as well as addressing sustaining issues. Other tasks that I have performed include interpreting and testing for standards compliance, failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), industrial design, and management of small projects. While at Leviton, I designed product with CoCreate's SolidDesigner and was responsible for bringing FEA capability (MSC Nastran for windows) to the division.

Tally designed and manufactured large scale printers for enterprise applications. I designed minor components and performed thermal analysis on their flagship product. I also assisted in procurement and assembly of prototypes as well as evaluations of those prototypes. While at Tally, I designed components in SolidWorks.
