Led the 3 US West design studios responsible for nearly half the US company-owned business.Supported new store and renovation strategies driving emerging channels & cost optimization.

Led a 60-member regional studio responsible for designing over 400 projects annually across 15 Asia Pacific markets.Regional design lead for Starbucks Reserve establishing design principles and guidelines to accelerate disciplined market growth for the program.Launched high profile concepts that innovated the Starbucks in-store experience growing sales of a premium coffee category.Redesigned the studio organizational structure while growing it over 50% in one year. Created specialization through the development of a Drive Thru architecture team to accelerate regional format growth.Partnered with Store Development to assess and consult on market growth strategies, site selection and investment models.Led the design sessions of the first region-wide leadership conference; presenting key initiatives to over 500 participants.

Led up to a 15 member design team to develop over 200 projects annually in 11 international markets. Managed the end-to-end store design process and execution of up to 6 countries and $30M of capital in coordination with cross-functional development teams, external parties, regional offices and multiple international business partners.Designed an annual average of 30 new stores and 25 renovations that delivered and upheld the Starbucks brand.Developed and maintained positive working relationships with company-owned, joint venture and licensed business partners to support their store development growth.Led and designed the first registered LEED NC certified drive-thru cafe in the Philippines; the design introduced to the market the Starbucks New Concept store design.Supervised, coached and mentored a design team of up to 6 members. Led a 10 member design team to implement New Concept store designs in strategic brand building markets across Western Europe. Notable projects included Starbucks first 3 LEED CI Platinum Certified stores.

Developed and managed 30 design intent documents annually for 16 markets in the EMEA, LATAM and AP regions.Created schematic designs; managed project schedules & procurement activities.

Teamed with senior interior designer to space plan approximately 1M square feet of interior office space for the Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters in Washington, DC. Prepared construction documents and supported in the interior design for major projects including the Detroit Metropolitan Airport, St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Jackson National Life Insurance Company.Other notable projects: American Axle Headquarters in Silao, Mexico and Cobo Hall in Detroit, MI.

Partnered with architects, engineers, and inspectors on academic design & construction projects.Managed and executed the in-house As-Built drawing process.Supervised and lead crews on campus-wide utility systems surveys.
