OPERATIONS MANAGER – TUCSON & CHARLESTON PASSPORT FACILITIES Responsible for printing operations, overseeing 138-member staff in production, quality assurance, and mailing of passport books, travel cards, overseas passports, and birth certificates for American citizens, ensuring strict adherence to government regulations and Internal Controls. Responsible for productivity, budget forecasts and contract management that included Profit and Loss over-site. Responsible for productivity, inventory, budgets, forecasting and P&L over-site.Select Highlights: Utilizing Project Management and Lean Manufacturing methodologies overcame challenges and implemented changes to tighten schedules while introducing team-building exercises, as well as stronger accountability and communication that led to bonuses within 7 months for Tucson group that hadn’t earned them in 7 years. With visual management and completely utilizing software capabilities was able to achieved a 37% boost in productivity and 22.3% reduction in costs by improving board-foot-per-man performance from 48 BF (less than 65 requirement) to 83 BF, while exceeding company and customer expectations for quality and on-time delivery Understanding the trend of the housing market and the need to upgrade our software and hardware, led a Project team on sourcing and validating new Wall Panel production equipment that allowed Foxworth to compete in new markets and trends while not increasing costs or headcount Managed the fleet of 10 semi-trucks and CDL drivers with flatbed trailers that delivered in-town Truss and Wall Panel units to custom home sites. Also managed a fleet of 8 sales trucks and two service vans
