Michael started his career in the Foodservice and OCS Industry with Economics Laboratory selling dishwashing and laundry cleaning products directly to restaurants from 1973 until 1979 in the New England market. Michael in 1979 then took a position as a Regional Sales Manager for a division of the Kellogg Corporation working with Northeast Foodservice distributors selling soup base and canned soup products, then in 1982 joined Custom Foods (a similar manufacturer) as their District Sales Manager for Metro New York, selling to both Foodservice and OCS distribution accounts. In 1986 Michael left Custom to become Vice President of the Northeast Region for the La Touraine Coffee Company overseeing 5 distribution centers, selling to both OCS and Foodservice accounts. He managed over 100 employees, from sales people to drivers to office personnel. In 1990 Michael was promoted to Vice President of Marketing for La Touraine. In 1992 after a brief time as National Sales Manager for an Italian Single Cup Coffee maker (a head of its time) he then took a position with Altra Worldwide Marketing as Vice President of Sales. Altra Worldwide represented several manufacturers like American Instants and Celestial Seasoning Tea. When Altra was sold; Michael went on to work directly for Celestial Seasonings Tea and American Instants. Then in 1999 Michael met Bill McCauley (now at Keurig) and Michael replaced Bill who was promoted, as the Eastern Sales Director. Michael also progressed with Keurig, Inc. from Sales Director to National Accounts Director to Director of New Business Development. Michael took early retirement in 2014 to pursue other interest and a number of new ventures.
