I am proud to be part of Southern California Soccer (SOCAL Soccer), the largest competitive youth soccer organization in the United States, and the AYSO United coaching team. I am even more honored to serve as leader-coach of an outstanding group of young ladies in the Los Angeles area.

The purpose of the Los Angeles Bible Training School is to come alongside of local churches to train the people of God, in the Word of God, to do the work of God, to the glory of God. In my role as Director of Admissions, I have the responsibility of recruiting new students, reclaiming former students, and retaining current students.

Serve and provide leadership along with the Dissertation Committee Chair to provide timely and thorough guidance to students in the Doctor of Education program at Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology. Work on various elements necessary for the planning and execution of a dissertation study. Interact with students based on the direction of the Chair and support student research through specialized knowledge of content or expertise in research methods or statistics.

Teach full range of courses in the Sociology discipline and related sub-fields. Subject expertise in the following: Introduction to Sociology; Social Problems; Marriage and Family; Race and Ethnic Relations; Juvenile Delinquency; Criminology; Social Research Methods. • Strategize and plan with Department Chair of Social Science on matters related to Sociology curriculum, external partnerships, dual enrollment, and enrollment management. • Participated in program design and curriculum development.• Demonstrate command of emerging technologies in an online and classroom learning environment. • Current certifications in Canvas and Etudes Online Learning Management Systems.• Used website content and online resources to enhance learning process, increase access, and promote equity for all students.• Provide instruction in distance learning, hybrid, and traditional formats.• Served as a faculty advisor and serve on college committees. • Advise students in matters related to academics, attendance, and behaviors.Adept at creating energetic learning environments where sophisticated yet inquisitive adult minds can flourish. I firmly believe that students learn best when they are empowered and actively engaged in the learning process. Malcolm Knowles, author of the Adult Learner, says “learning is a process that results in a change in attitudes, thoughts, behavior, skills, or competencies”. Students who are actively engaged in their own learning (i.e. the change process) are empowered. This sense of empowerment transcends the immediate learning environment (i.e. classroom) and positively affects the student’s entire educational experience.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENTResponsible for: Planning, creating, and overseeing implementation of innovative programs and services to meet diverse needs and interests of students; Developing academic curriculum for skills enhancement; Developing programmatic objectives and Student Learning Outcomes. BUDGET ADMINSTRATIONResponsible for: Maintaining compliance and fiscal responsibility in consonance with college, state, and federal regulations; Projecting budgets for a 5-year grant performance period; Responsible for budgets totaling a combined $2.65 million.PROGRAM LEADERSHIPResponsible for: Establishing operational policies and procedures as well as program standards and goals; Culture building; Community building; Providing leadership and direction to 15-20 faculty and staff; training personnel and evaluating personnel and providing performance benchmarks. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT Facilitating and oversaw the design process for effective, quality instruction for Upward Bound students. Provided guidance to instructional personnel during the course development and implementation process. Researched and incorporated current pedagogical-andragogical proven instructional strategies, and quality measure into the curriculum.COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTResponsible for: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with government leaders, school board members, k-12 and higher education leaders, community-based organizations, leaders in business and industry. ACCOUNTABILITY REPORTINGPrepared auditing reports to the LACCD Internal Auditing Department and the U.S. DOE officers responsible for oversight and monitoring of program compliance. Prepare fiscal reports for the LACCD Accounting Department.GRANT WRITINGAssisted with researching information, conducting fieldwork, compiling data, and drafting the federal TRIO grant applications. Instrumental in the acquisition of the over six million dollars in federal funds.

Emerging from the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 – as part of President Johnson’s “Great Society” agenda - TRIO are outreach and student services legislation that resulted in initiatives designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Planned, developed, and coordinated activities and service for one Upward Bound grant. Program is a multi-faceted federally funded program designed to provide fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college.

Served in an interim Director capacity. Primary duties included developing, promoting, and implementing the PACE program and its components at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. Facilitated relationships with entities in student affairs and academic departments, including offsite partners, to meet student educational goals and program outcomes. Managed caseload for all PACE students to ensure thorough educational planning in accordance with IGETC requirements; scheduled student counseling/advising sessions and teacher-student consultations.

Serve on the AYSO Region 1031 Board to administer a quality coaching and player development program within the region. Work in collaboration with other administrators of the region (regional commissioner, registrar, and division coordinators) to ensure there are enough trained and vetted coaches to support the size of the region. Responsible for recruitment and training of coaches and providing on-going support and advocacy to promote coach retention and player development.

As a doctoral-dissertation student, under the leadership of the Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Education and Psychology, the Excellence and Innovation Practices (EIP) program at Pepperdine University seeks to advance scholarship in leadership best practice through rigorous qualitative research methodologies.

Provide comprehensive and integrated academic support and resources to students; responsible for establishing academic advisement for students who receive early alerts and midterm deficiencies from teachers and counselors due to at risk academic performance; provide coordination, facilitation and offer ongoing support for workshops that are offered during each semester that emphasize academic, personal and career development for the comprehensive advancement of student awareness and success; responsible for managing data collection and reports with regard to student progress, monitoring and preparation of reports.
