Education has been my passion for the majority of my life. From my time in primary school until now, I’ve alway strived to do more, learn more, and be more. I pride myself on my dedication, hard work, and communication abilities. Metropolitan State University of Denver gave me the opportunity to cultivate these skills through various outlets including Supplemental Instruction Leadership, becoming the site coordinator for a tutoring program at two different schools, founding and serving as the president of a fraternity chapter, and working as a Resident Assistant and eventually The Assistant General Manager of a student housing community. These positions, among other leadership opportunities, strengthened my active listening, adaptability, customer service, and leadership. They also prepared me for the challenges that face me in the education, management, customer service, and software development fields. If you would like to reach out to discuss my experience further please message me on LinkedIn or email me at mikeharri789@gmail.com.

Independent ContractorLaborjack Jun 2020 - PresentFort Collins, Colorado, UsLaborjack is a Colorado based and founded company that employs independent contractors across Colorado to work many different general labor jobs and specialized staffing positions. During my time at Laborjack I provided many different labor services for dozens of clients across the Denver Metro and surrounding areas. I was able to complete over 120 jobs with the company, and was also handpicked to be one of the most requested home stagers by our client Sagewood Interiors. Home staging involved picking out specific furniture from the Sagewood Interiors warehouse, loading it up into a truck, driving said truck to the home we were going to stage, and very carefully and precisely unloading and staging said furniture in the home. Aside from general labor and precision, working for Laborjack allowed me to utilize and practice skills such as punctuality, communication, organization, and professionalism. This position was meant primarily to supplement my income during the worst parts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and allow me to save up some much needed funding for my prospective move to Taiwan. However, this role ultimately proved to be a beneficial and lucrative position for me professionally as well. -

Assistant General ManagerAssembly Student Living Oct 2019 - Mar 2020After working as a Resident Assistant (RA) at The Assembly Student Living (rebranded from The Regency Student Housing) for around 3.5 years I graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and was promoted to Assistant General Manager (AGM). As the AGM I managed and oversaw the daily operations of our roughly 930 resident property. I also directly supervised up to 11 RA staff members, oversaw our rent payment portal and took rent payments, and responded to dozens of messages daily on Intercom Message software. This position taught me a great deal about property and staff management. It also allowed me to develop my customer service, leadership, and communication skills further than they had been prior. In my time there, I was able to effectively and efficiently manage our RA team, help our customers (residents and parents) overcome a great deal of struggle, and improve some of the pre-established systems. I came up with a form that allowed RA's to submit shift coverage requests digitally, and a form for keeping better track of our key card system for our residents. I did have additional ideas for how to improve and develop other systems further, however, I was laid off from this position in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I have since moved on to other endeavors, but am thankful for the experience that this position provided me.
