I have been a litigator my entire legal career, focusing on complex commercial and insurance lawsuits.I represent corporate and individual clients in commercial litigation involving a wide variety of business disputes. Over the last 25 years, those lawsuits have involved legal issues related to professional negligence, civil fraud, insurance, securities, contracts and other financial claims. During that time I have been lead counsel in a broad range of previous civil, criminal, administrative and constitutional law cases, including hundreds of trials and appeals in courts across Canada. For dispute resolution, I have acted as counsel in hundreds of meditations and acted as a mediator myself in disputes between other parties as well.I have dedicated considerable time to professional development and training for the legal and accounting professions, the insurance industry and fraud investigators. I regularly speak to such groups about current legal issues affecting their areas of expertise, and provide legal and strategic advice on an ongoing basis.
