Michael is a highly experienced technologist who directs his passion for cyber security, data privacy and effective communication to serve the interests of Digital Resilience clients as Principal Consultant. He has worked in many industries and technology environments in the past two decades, from electronics manufacturing in Europe to financial services in Australia. At Australia's fifth-largest retail bank, Michael played a key role in strengthening security by implementing endpoint detection and response, data loss protection, email security and other controls. He also led the implementation of the bank's cloud security posture management and cloud workload protection platform. Michael consults to the world's second-largest wine and spirits manufacturer. As their Senior Security Architect, he works with management and the technical teams to strengthen security architecture practices and processes across information and operational technology. His experience spans both traditional and cloud native information technology environments, diverse operational technology environments and industrial controls systems, as well as the latest artificial intelligence systems.Michael has a keen interest in artificial intelligence, ethics and privacy. His philosophy studies in these areas, coupled with his training in AI governance, give him a unique insight into these issues, which he uses to help organisations shape their AI governance frameworks. Michael is well qualified. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), and Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP). He also holds a bachelor’s degree in network computing and recently completed a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, where he focused on AI, ethics, and privacy.
