As a Mentor Coordinator, I am responsible for mentor recruitment, promoting the organization/program, increasing community awareness and support by creating partnerships with faith-based communities, social service providers, and government agencies. I provide leadership on all aspects of the mentoring program including recruitment, orientation, screening, selection, training and retention. I supervise mentor matches in the community and may also supervise mentor matches with mentees pre-release from incarceration. I'm working closely with all other program staff, volunteers, and participants and will be responsible for communicating the goals of the program and facilitating meaningful mentoring experiences that result in participant success and mentor retention. As the coordinator mentorship, I inform participants of the mentoring program and recruits potential mentees. Furthermore, I ensures a seamless transition of participants and mentors into the given program.

As a contracted security guard, my responsibilities are diverse and challenging.
