2021- Present Mr. Thomas serves as the Sr. Lead Propulsion Sustainment engineer for the Rolls Royce AE3007H & AE2100D3 TMS engines. He is responsible for the technical management of these engine programs, reviewing and approving all engineering directed sustainment activities which are performed at the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul facilities. Representing the Cognizant Engineering Authority, Mr. Thomas chairs the AE2100D3 & AE3007H Integrated Product Teams consisting of Rolls Royce Aerospace and Standard Aero Aerospace. Through the existing Commercial FAR 12 contracts, Mr. Thomas oversee all technically related sustainment activities for the AE2100D3 & AE3007H engines. Working directly with the government Procurement Contracting Officer, he assured Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul contractual requirements were met in accordance with FAA approved technical publications. 2015 - 21 Mr. Thomas served as the LPE (CIP) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Specialty Engines Branch. As the CIP-SME he was responsible for the technical management for the TF34, T56, J85, T700, T400, F107 and T53 Type - Model - Series (TMS) engine programs.2013-15 He was responsible for coordinating AFLCMC/LP engineering activities for AFLCMC/LP within the Propulsion Technology Office (PTO) Integrated Product Team. My activities included facilitating the identification of technology needs and integration of those needs with existing and emerging technologies. He facilitated co-partnering arrangements with Air Force Research Labs assisting with the identification of the funding vehicles required to facilitate development and implementation of identified emerging technologies among LP, LPS, and AFSC/PMXG. 2010-13 He performed engineering reviews of all USAF policy relative to maintaining Operational Safety Suitability and Effectiveness on legacy propulsion systems managed by LPS division. As Lead Engineer he interfaced with major engine original equipment manufacturers (OEM), and Head Quarters Aeronautical Systems Command(ASC) representatives. He represented the Propulsion Directorate in facilitating several technical forums.2006-10 I served as the Sr engineer for the Director of Propulsion in the LP staff office and worked with AF/A4M providing technical leadership to revise Air Force Regulation 21-104, as well as other USAF instructions..
