Michael J. Watson is an associate with the firm and concentrates his practice in local government, labor and employment, and business litigation matters. Mr. Watson has significant experience defending both private and public employers in civil rights actions, labor grievances and arbitrations, and related disputes before the Federal and State Courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, and the Public Employee Relations Commission. Mr. Watson currently serves as the solicitor to several New Jersey municipalities, authorities, and other governmental entities. He is a member of the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys and serves as Treasurer of the Cherry Hill Democratic Committee. He has been recognized as a New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2015 through 2020.Mr. Watson earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland in 2002. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law in 2008. While in law school, he was member of the Rutgers Law Journal and served on the Executive Board of the Law Journal as Internet Editor.Mr. Watson previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Francis J. Orlando, Assignment Judge, New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division, Camden County, New Jersey.Mr. Watson was admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in 2008. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania . He is a member of the American, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Camden County Bar Associations, and the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys.
