Beauly - Denny 400Kv Transmission Line

Supervising Beauly Denny 400kV overhead line construction focussing on the foundations; conventional, piled, mini piled and rock anchor type. I also supervise tower construction and am gaining experience with conductor wiring.

Gained experience in GRP pipeline construction, inspection and testing (air and hydrostatic), GRP pipe repairs, rock blasting, crushing and screening, setting-out using robotic total station (Leica), GPS setting-out/survey and temporary works.Previous projects:Railway Minor Works (2007) - minor civil works for Network Rail.Tradeston Bridge (2008) - pedestrian bridge construction.Rosyth CVF (2009) - direct entrance widening for the new aircraft carriers.Glendoe Recovery Project (2010) - tunnel remedial works following a tunnel collapse.Maldie Hydro Scheme (2011/12) - construction of a new 4.5MW hydro scheme. main area of responsibility - pipeline construction.Progressed within the business from Trainee Engineer (2007) to Site Engineer (2011).
