I am an Art Concierge and Guest Liaison at The Royal Portfolio's Silo Hotel, where I specialize in curating exceptional art experiences for our guests. My role involves curating exhibitions, leading personalized art tours, and managing guest and media relations. As a qualified culture guide, I am passionate about providing our visitors with deep insights into the art world and the cultural significance of the sites we explore, ensuring their experiences are both enriching and memorable.In addition to my current role, I am also an analogue collage and mixed media artist. My artistic journey has been highlighted by my involvement as a curatorial assistant for the exhibition When Water Breaks, a group show curated by Gcotyelwa Mashiqa at Greatmore Studios in Woodstock, Cape Town. I was also a participant in the group exhibition Denaturalization at Church Projects.My professional background includes a significant project as a Digital Archivist at AVA Gallery, where I was responsible for digitizing and organizing the gallery's extensive digital collections. This project involved managing the digital asset management system and collaborating with curators to prioritize and preserve digital assets, ensuring their long-term accessibility.As a Hop on art specialist and junior research assistant at ArtRoute, I contribute to research on art collections by analyzing artwork provenance, history, and significance. My responsibilities include drafting reports, preparing presentations, and ensuring that research is conducted according to the highest ethical standards, and conducting art tours at museums, art galleries and artist studios.Previously, I worked at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) as a Content Mediator and Curatorial Administrator, where I played a key role in mediating exhibitions, facilitating curatorial programming, and leading tours for public, private, and VIP guests. My experience also includes managing the Museum Gift Shop at Zeitz MOCAA, where I honed my skills in retail management, inventory control, and customer relations.My diverse experiences in cultural guiding, research, retail management, and artistic practice, combined with my current role at The Silo Hotel, allow me to offer a comprehensive perspective on art and guest experience. I am dedicated to delivering exceptional service and fostering a deeper appreciation for art in all those I engage with.
