Undergraduate Research Assistant
CurrentOptimized paired electrolyzers for high current production, high efficiencies, and low cell voltage. Led first author project while supervising and training three other undergraduate students to assist in project progress. Researched and synthesized novel catalysts via electrodeposition and wet chemistry. Performed DFT calculations for geometry optimization and activation energies. Placed 2nd in the Catalysis and Reaction Engineering group presenting a research poster at the 2023 AIChE national conference. I am researching under Dr. Wenzhen Li and Mohammad Albloushi since Fall 2022. My research was sponsored by the Griswold Foundation from Spring 2023 to Spring 2024. I began researching with Dr. Luke Roling and Deep Patel in Fall 2024 performing DFT calculations for NO dissociation.
