FSS' inception was due to the formation of a consumer trend in women ages18-34. My fiancé and I decided to capitalize on that trend, with the intention to exit before either the trend died or the market became flooded. Thanks to that precise foresight and pragmatism, we exited flawlessly. My personal role in this business was that of Digital & Print Marketer, Graphic Designer and Web Designer. I learned so much more from all of this than I ever thought possible and it is absolutely one venture I will never regret taking.

My duties at Nippon included managing the efficient pickup and delivery of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cargo going from the U.S. to destinations across Asia and Australia via Air Canada and China Airlines, while adhering to FAA rules and regulations. It was a high pressure position, but the responsibility of being the sole point of contact for clients and airlines made the on-time completion of important shipments extremely rewarding. Learning the ins-and-outs of Nippon's AS400 system was very technical, but also exciting since I am a computer software geek at heart and love adding new software proficiencies to my resume. While there, I also developed an extensive set of "how-to" notes, which were then photocopied and passed out to co-workers who were unfamiliar with my position in case there ever came a day where they had to take on certain duties I performed daily.

Unlike Nippon, Swissport did not require the use of outside Airlines. My duties included processing shipments into our CargoSpot software system, ensuring every detail was accurate. Any potential error could have caused cargo to not be loaded onto the planes and ultimately would have resulted in our clients losing hundreds of thousands in revenue. Due to my meticulous attention to detail, thankfully that never occurred. The sheer amount of daily tasks required of me is what led me to begin developing an extensive step-by-step note system for the day, which management ended up using as a training tool for new employees and supervisors unfamiliar with our systems. On top of all this, I was also one of the only employees in the office that was asked to cross-train for CargoSpot and Japan Airline's JALMAX software system, in the event of any JAL related problems arising without a dedicated JAL employee present.
