Design and produce Cad models of Computer Racks, Open Frames and Cabinets. Data Centres- Hot and Cold Containment and Security Caging.Including detail Drawings and Bill of Materials.

I was responsible for designing and producing cad models of interior train carriages (Queensland Rail & NSW Rail Corp). My role included concept designs, parts modelling update, researching for parts and its availability with suppliers, working closely with the engineers and tradesman to ensure all designs were produced in accordance with project expectations and Australian Standards. I used Nx-Unigraphics, Solid Edge and Autocad software.Achievements •Responsible for many interior redesigns and fit outs including partitions, ceilings, floor mount layouts, a/c ducting, stairway assemblies, seats, bed frames, hand rails, cupboards and doors. •Produced detail drawings of parts to be manufactured including sheet metal, welded and CNC parts. •I redesigned the luggage trolley hold down locking mechanisms in the QR Tilt Train luggage car. The trolleys are now placed in an offset position to fit in the reduced floor space area.

This role was responsible for solid and sheet metal modelling of 4wd accessories parts, with bill of materials. Examples included long range fuel tanks, tool boxes and tray bodies. I was also responsible for the maintenance of the company’s drawing database. I used Inventor and Autocad software.A typical 4wd part manufacturing scenario that I participated in: •produced concept designs by measuring a new model 4wd chassis for clearances and mounting points •designed prototype parts •checked fitment of the prototype part •produced detail drawings for fabrication with manufacturing instructionsAchievements •I designed a tray body for a mining spec Hilux. This included a rollover bar, side loading crane with stabiliser spread mounts, mudguard tool boxes and water tank. •I designed a tray back camper cab for a 4WD Hilux. This cab is a stainless steel body with gull-wing doors and ladder to access the roof top tent. Storage areas for water tank, sink, generator and gas bottle. Pull out drawers for fridge, stove and spare tyre.
