I am accountable for equipment worth over $200,000 and conduct quarterly inspections of sensitive equipment such as weapons, radio transmitters, and night vision goggles. Additional duties include being the officer in charge of the Chemical, biological, radiological/ nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) - enhanced, force package (CERFP) ambulatory section of 10 soldiers. CERFP is activated in times of CBRNE exposure. Individual requirements I maintain is overall health and physical fitness. Proficiency in multiple weapon systems and ability to complete intensive training. I must maintain calm, collected, even tempered and in control of my emotions in high stressed areas or dangerous situations. I uphold the Army’s good order and ethical conduct and ensure subordinate leaders and soldiers follow it accordingly. It is essential that I demonstrate good judgment by making sound, timely and well-informed decisions since it may be the contributing factor of life and death. I volunteered to be activated to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. During my time activated from 14 April 2020 - 30 September 2020, I was the Officer in charge of 26 soldiers of the day shift in Isolation and Quarantine (ISO-Q) site located on Cashman field during the surge of COVID-19. Operated as a joint team with Team Rubicon, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, Medical Volunteers, and Doctors to reduce the number of homeless people infected with COVID-19. We upheld professionalism, fairness, and interpersonal tact with multiple civilian counterparts and difficult or distressed patients. Show less
