I am a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Barts NHS Trust, treating gynaecological and skin malignancies alongside acute oncology. I completed my MRC funded PhD on the “Tumour microenvironment of clear cell ovarian cancer” in the Centre of Tumour Microenvironment at Barts Cancer Institute. Following on from this I was an NIHR funded Academic Clinical Lecturer and continued with post-doctorate translational research alongside my clinical training. I have completed a yearlong fellowship at the NIHR Clinical Research Facility based at University College London Hospital, where I was a sub-investigator and responsible for the day to day running of a large portfolio of dose escalation and expansion studies of combination immunotherapy, targeted therapy, epigenetic and novel treatments; including first-in-person studies and global first dose. I was awarded a translational research fellowship from the European Society of Medical Oncology and I am an alumnus of the ECCO-ACCR-EORTC-ESMO workshop.I sit on the steering committee for the Experimental Cancer Medicine Centres “Junior Investigator Network Group” and help organise annual educational events for trainees with an interest in clinical trials. I have completed two-years as the NCRI Gynaecology Oncology trainee, where I successfully integrated into a multidisciplinary group involved in the design, set up and running of clinical trials across the United Kingdom.
