Software Responsibilities: - Design, Build, Integrate, and Maintain embedded software in handheld production devices- Write drivers for sensors, power systems, and LCD displays on bare-metal (ARM Cortex M)- Manage and develop embedded systems running Keil-RTX (RTOS) and embedded Linux- Extend existing code with features and interfaces to improve performance - Troubleshoot and debug issues from PCB (hardware) to Application code (software)- Lead electrical and software development of project throughout life-cycle- Work with legacy code to add features and optimize stability- Use git to version control, and quickly debugging software individually or in a team - Design and implement algorithms to analyze, filter, and process streamed data- Use I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, and MODBUS communications protocols for networked devices and sensors- Create and maintain interfaces and APIs for future development in a new line of products- Develop and Debug sensor drivers from datasheets and electrical schematicsElectrical Responsibilities: - Design and Layout printed circuit boards (PCB) for embedded devices and robotics used in Avionics Production- Research components for backwards compatibility and power budget constraints- Maintain and Write wiring schematics for new machines, devices, and power supplies- Work with low power and high power designs - Analyze and test new designs with DMM, Oscilloscope, Signal Generators, and Logic Analyzers- Manage work independently and as a team through issue ticketing software- Partake in formal and informal design review process
