Fleet Manager for Forklift & Yard Hostlers. Serves as the Fleet Consultant for budgetary purposes and provide long range asset planning ensuring cost effectiveness in managing the life cycle costs of all assets. Provides leadership and subject matter expertise (SME) in driving the company's efforts around ground support equipment and fleet management. Develops and executes procurement strategies for GSE and services. Performs strategic sourcing and spend analysis, identifying key procurement savings opportunities. Works with Finance team and ensures effective business controls in all procurement activities including cost management and cost tracking. Develops and upgrades requisitioning and payables processes for service contracts, long term agreements and taking opportunities where appropriate to establish common processes across the company for GSE spend.. Identify maintenance items to be tracked in Preventative Maintenance System for recurring vehicle maintenance and inspections. Establish and track metrics associated with preventative maintenance. Ensure GSE consumables and spares on hand to support mission requirements. Drive and support compliance utilizing standard audit processes. Conduct on-site GSE reviews and routine audits of operations for all locations. Communicate effectively with the local management teams and other stakeholders to promote compliance with the defined safety programs and monitor performance. Assist with development of short- and long-term objectives and strategies that prioritize critical issues and mitigate risk.
