I am an award-winning journalist now working in content development as a contractor at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. I write feature stories showcasing the work of CDC and partner health care organizations in protecting us from respiratory diseases. From 2013 through 2017, I worked as a news producer, reporter, and sports anchor in the Atlanta radio market. From 1987 through 2013, I worked at CNN Radio where I worked my way up the ranks from editor to managing the newsroom. My duties included making story assignments to our staff of anchors and producers. I created the rundowns and selected the sound bites and reports for our newscasts. I have extensive experience writing and anchoring newscasts, sportscasts, and podcasts. I am accustomed to producing newscasts on tight deadlines, so I can handle pressure. My reporting skills are razor sharp after conducting thousands of interviews during my career with U.S. and world leaders, athletes, and business leaders.
