About Michael Jonsson

Ph.D in political science. Experienced consultant and analyst with expertise in the economic aspects of security politics, particularly anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT), security sector reform (SSR) and disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR). Co-editor of "Conflict, Crime and the State in Postcommunist Eurasia" and lead investigator for several studies on AML/CFT for the International Monetary Fund and Swedish government agencies. Invited as lecturer i.a. for the World Bank Group, the U.S Treasury, NATO and the Swedish Economic Crimes Authority and have published in the International Herald Tribune, Survival, Georgetown Journal of International Affairs, the Journal of Money Laundering Control and Jane’s Intelligence Review.
