Reporting directly to the TXA board consisting of C level representatives from Seven West Media, Nine Entertainment and Network 10, I held overall responsibility for co-ordination, planning and technical implementation of broadcast transmission infrastructure and services to ensure continuity and effective technical operations of TXA facilities nationally.

Reporting to the Director of Operations & Delivery, I was responsible for the successful end to end Service Delivery of all Vertel Fixed Wireless, Mobile Network, SIP and 3rd party fibre product offerings Nationally. This was a critical role through Pre-sales, Feasibility, Delivery and Customer acceptance process by leading, managing and co-ordinating Pre-sale & Design Engineers, Project Management and Field Build resource through to Provisioning and Network Operational Support Engineers.

Lead Project Manager for the company’s largest growth project - NSW Health Wide Area Network (HWAN). This project is a $17 million Telecommunications Project for NSW State Government Health department. It involves the roll-out of a Fixed Wireless Wide Area Network to provide Carrier Grade Ethernet services to over 60 Hospital’s across 5 NSW Health Local Hospital Districts (LHD).

Australia has completed a 13 year conversion from analog to digital television. This conversion commenced on 1 January 2001 with the introduction of digital television services and was complete at the end of 2013 - when the last of the analog television services ceased transmission.This created the opportunity for the Australian Government to re-use broadcast spectrum for next generation telecommunications services such as 4G. To maximise the amount of contiguous spectrum available, the Federal Government embarked on the spectrum restack program. This program covered 414 sites and affected virtually every Australian.The Department of Communications appointed Broadcast Australia as the Program Manager for the Australian Government’s Restack of digital television services. Broadcast Australia coordinated and managed the spectrum clearance (restack) works for all national and commercial television services to clear the 700 MHz band spectrum to meet the requirements of the Government’s Digital Dividend auction.

• Project management of primary stakeholder contract requirements in spectrum, technical advice and industry awareness. • Supported the business unit management of an operational delivery product for the primary stakeholder Ofcom. • Supported the development, thinking and commercial positioning for all future spectrum opportunities.• Responsible for responding and tracking policy & spectrum licensing changes to proactively use, identify and research opportunities for efficient use of spectrum• Management of an array of Programme Making & Special Events stakeholder applications by planning and allocating spectrum according to availability and requirements. Coordinating against DTT and other PMSE users, using an array of PMSE and non PMSE spectrum.

• Perform Engineering QA function for the life cycle of the project: Bid, Design, Implementation and project closeout• Audit Project Documentation which includes assessing design, project budget, equipment orders and contractor agreements.• Implementation and Resource detailed planning for project rollout.• Manage the Project Engineering Schedule and the Planned Work Schedule to ensure that the contractor meets the key milestone dates and that all works that are service affecting are captured.• Ensure that all project works are been done in accordance with the method statement and all risks are taken in to consideration• Inspect all contractor works in conjunction with work stream representative / contractor representative and prepare to identify any quality / H+S issues that require rectification. • Manage / report on any on-site issues regarding installation and safety issues, applying any site restrictions as necessary• Document, report and action engineering lessons learnt from completed installations; ensure these are carried forward to ensure best practice.
