The purpose of this role is to provide strategic leadership and direction to a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the operations, maintenance, overhaul, engineering and site services at Tarong Power Station and the current and future generators and energy storage facilities located within Southern Queensland. This position is accountable for ensuring the availability of electricity supply, optimising asset efficiency performance and maximising asset life while ensuring that the power station operations comply with regulatory, safety and environmental requirements through a productive and engaged workforce.

Position PurposeThis position is accountable for health, safety and environmental leadership, performance and strategic direction across the business. Purpose of the Position: The role is accountable for overseeing Stanwell’s Mine Services Agreement (MSA) transition. Activities ensure short, medium and long term business objectives are achieved at Meandu Mine directly or through the services of the mine operations contractor. The role also supports the successful transition of the new Tarong Power Stations Site Manager.

Purpose of the Position: Set corporate direction and lead development of strategy for OHS by applying high level strategic and specialist skills.  Work with the board, executives, senior mangers and others to lead OHS strategy and to initiate, develop and maintain activities for a safe and healthy work environment.  Accountable to ensure an emphasis on the identification of critical risks and management of critical controls.  Develop and implement a strategy for communicating the OHS strategy and framework throughout the business.  Represent the company in external professional and regulatory forums.
