R&D/QA/QC lab manager for a manufacturer of hydrogen sulfide scavenging compounds that are used in the oil and gas industry, landfills, and several other applications. My main duties include:• Conducting daily performance testing of the product in systems utilizing toxic gases.• Development of new products, improvement of existing products, customer service, analysis of competitor products, and support of applications and testing in the field.• Performing specialized testing to support the Sales group and customers and have designed and constructed several lab test units to facilitate this.• I have completed projects to successfully create products with greater sulfur capacity and other properties desired by our customers, as well as finding ways to more efficiently utilize raw materials• I was responsible for QA of the plant production prior to 2008 and resumed this role again in 2015.• Duties as a TechTrax and InTouch engineer for my business group as well as maintaining technical files in Teams.

My previous position was as a process engineer for a Six-Sigma manufacturer of flexible circuit boards. My main duty with this company was providing engineering support to produce flexible circuits:• I was responsible for all aspects of the prototype electroplating lines. This included supervision of chemical and equipment readiness, performing DOEs and process capability studies, creation of process documentation, managing projects, and continuous improvement of the processes.• In March of 2005 I was transferred to the high-volume flex circuit production facility and took primary ownership of four “front-end” roll-to-roll process lines. Support of these lines included several process stability and process improvement projects.• Two of my more notable projects included implementation of SCADA (a data gathering and control system) and an in-line electronic optical inspection system for circuits on the etching line.• I completed my Six Sigma Green Belt training in February of 2005. This position involved daily usage of Minitab for the evaluation of my processes.

This was a research and development position with a manufacturer of EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) shielding products:• I was involved in the development of new products unique to this industry, generating cost saving measures, and support of the manufacturing processes.• My main area of expertise was the deposition of metals onto non-conductive surfaces such as fabrics, foams, and a variety of other polymeric substrates. I have extensive knowledge of numerous immersion, electroless, and electrolytic plating methods, as well as the catalysts used in these applications.• Several of my projects included formulation of electroless plating solutions and involved the installation of new production lines. I was typically involved in a project from start (research/laboratory) to finish (full-scale production).

This was a supervisory role over the plating laboratory and waste treatment department:• Duties included quality control of parts from the plating line, troubleshooting issues with plating baths, backup supervision of the plating department, and preparation of documents for QS9000. • Environmental duties involved analytical testing of the waste effluent, preparation of reports for local and state water authorities, and assisting in the operation of the waste treatment process. • I was also required to monitor and inspect hazardous waste accumulations in the facility and ensure that they were removed in a safe and timely manner.

This was a contract position in the field of environmental air sampling and analysis:• Duties included traveling to Monsanto’s production facilities to analyze the emissions from a variety of chemical processes. Samples were obtained and analyzed using methods found in EPA 40 CFR part 60. • Other responsibilities included preparation and upkeep of test equipment and the mobile laboratory. Chemical aspects of the job ranged from wet bench chemistry to several forms of spectroscopy, including gas chromatography, GC-MS, and HPLC.

I held the position of Plating Chemist during my first term of employment with this producer of electroplated automotive and appliance parts:• My main duty was analyzing the plating baths using wet bench chemistry, industry-related plating test equipment, and spectroscopy (UV/VIS and AA).

I spent 4 years in the US Army in the infantry (Air Mobile and Mechanized). I was stationed in Ft Benning GA, Ft Campbell KY, and Baumholder Germany. I did an additional 2 years in the US Army Reserve as a Psyop Specialist while attending college.
