BMG PROMOTES MICHAEL KACHKO TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CATALOG RECORDINGS Los Angeles, CA – March 7, 2019 – BMG is proud to announce the promotion of Michael Kachko to Senior Vice President, Catalog Recordings, BMG US. Based in Los Angeles, Kachko is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, marketing direction, and exploitation of BMG’s global catalog recordings in the US including the iconic works of Iron Maiden, Motorhead, The Kinks, Keith Richards, John Fogerty, Dio, Nick Cave, the famed reggae catalog of Trojan Records, and Hank Williams. A well-respected, longtime industry veteran with over 20 years in the music business as a catalog specialist, Kachko is a key member of BMG’s US repertoire team. Previously serving as Vice President, Catalog Recordings in the US, he will continue to report to Peter Stack, Executive Vice President, Global Catalog Recordings.

•Develop and manage marketing strategies for Universal Music and INgrooves-Fontana clients across the following platforms: social media, public relations, advertising, sales, media buys, video placement, tours, distribution, and product development. •Orchestrate all marketing activities for several priority releases and record labels including ICP which debut #4 on the Top 200 chart.•Recruit, develop, and lead up to 6 marketing teams per project, consisting of publicity, online/social media, sales, distribution, production and radio promotion.

•Supervised highly visible projects from conception to marketplace and oversaw all elements of marketing, strategic planning, and product development; managed the company’s 8 member marketing department.•Developed and executed strategies across online marketing, social media, creative merchandising, advertising, publicity, distribution and radio promotion.•Led the development of all marketing plans and brand imaging for high profile and internationally acclaimed artists such as Depeche Mode, The Doors, Genesis, Grateful Dead, Jeff Beck, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Crossroads Guitar Festival, The Cure, Jane’s Addiction, and others.•Drove all marketing for Crossroads 2011 Blu-ray/DVD release generating millions in billing.•Led promotional campaign and market image for Jeff Beck’s new release positioning album in the highest chart position in three decades and a Grammy nominated album.•Hired and directed outside agency resources (eight teams) covering general/online marketing, publicity, radio, print, online media, and TV.•Cultivated and built productive relationships with top-level artists and managers.

•Directed the conception and execution of marketing strategies for high-profile artists (Bon Jovi, The Police, Sting, U2, John Mellencamp, The Who, Styx, Slayer, Kiss, Peter Frampton, Tears For Fears, Primus, NOW Series): led teams in devising strategies, setting/controlling budgets, and developing supportive marketing collateral.•Led the largest online marketing campaign to date for The Police Anthology.•Developed a comprehensive DVD marketing/advertising campaign that captured consumer’s emotional connection to music and video.

•Exercised management across design, writing, and production of a variety of advertising and marketing campaigns for A&M, Def-Jam, Geffen, Interscope, Island, MCA, Motown, Polydor, and Universal Records.•Designed and implemented consumer advertising and determined placement for national markets.•Compiled, analyzed, and presented market research to VP of Sales, Marketing, and Distribution.
