In fact my first contact with printing was being the operator of a digital printing press, printing digital heat transfer decals. During this time I learned not only to run a machine, but also what it takes in prepress to set-up and optimize files, how to maintain and operate modern printing equipment as well as quality control techniques.Shortly thereafter I moved to the US East Coast for a trainee program. During this stay it was my mission to implement processes and know-how from Germany, which also gave me the opportunity to improve my professional as well as my English skills.After this experience I moved back to Germany and to the family business. However, this time not as a machine operator, but as the assistant manager. Besides creative tasks that included creating flyers, brochures and other marketing material I was responsable to move the company into the digital era. Therefore if was my duty to get the first website online, maintain it and to create useful content.
