I’m a PhD candidate in Sociocultural Anthropology at George Washington University. During 16+ months of ethnographic research in Istanbul, Turkey, I explored the intersections of transnational mobility, Islamic movements, globalization, and shifting geopolitics in the Middle East. My research has been supported by Fulbright-Hays, the Institute for Middle East Studies, the Institute for Ethnographic Research, and more.I enjoy helping others shape and share their ideas, whether through teaching or editing. I’ve taught undergraduate courses at George Washington University and through Georgetown University's Prisons and Justice Initiative, guiding diverse student populations in refining their critical thinking and writing skills. My editorial experience includes roles with Anthropological Quarterly and the Middle East Research and Information Project (MERIP).I'm here to collaborate and explore new opportunities across academia, publishing, and beyond.
