Responsible for design, implementation, and testing of complete control system upgrade of four new treatment plants that included a PLC replacement from Siemens S7 PLCs to Rockwell SLC 5/05 PLCs. • Developed new tag name database and provided design stragety to implement the entire database index change to the InSQL’s history block index. Configured automated reports to provide data exports from InSQL of water demands, growth calculations and water usage. • Managed and maintained Wonderware, InSQL and SCADAlarm applications. Maintained radio and telemetry communications, troubleshot PLC code, repaired plant equipment, SQL database management, instrument calibration and electrical troubleshooting. • Applied and administered a Homeland Security grant of $380,000. Designed and managed upgrades from this grant which included converting all remote telemetry sites from communication over leased line to license free Ethernet and licensed serial radios. • Maintained IT network with Windows 2003 domain, a virtual private network, Vertis backup software, Symantec Antivirus Enterprise edition and SonicWALL firewall.• Additional duties included maintaining control of the District’s distribution system including three reservoirs, four wells, and two purchased water interties. Provided education and training to District staff in the operation of the SCADA system.
