I'm a force multiplier in the Government of Canada, working across institutions on essential tools and policies that improve the delivery of benefits and services to the public. This includes modernizing information sharing practices, artificial intelligence, and digital identity. Recently I have embarked on an examination of how the Government of Canada can responsibly use AI to design policy and provide services.

My work centred on horizontal files that affect the entire Agency and the Health Portfolio more broadly. I built strong relationships with program and technical experts in the Agency to develop new public health policy or refresh existing work to be more relevant in today's evolving policy context. I gave strategic advice to senior management on a range of public health policy issues.Most notably, I was a key member of the federal negotiating team on the Multilateral Information Sharing Agreement on Public Health, Canada's first multilateral agreement of its kind. I supported the lead negotiator and the Deputy Minister with federal positions, working with colleagues in other levels of government to secure this important agreement.I have extensive and practical experience in federal/provincial/territorial projects and a keen interest on public health, ethics, information sharing and privacy.

My primary responsibilities were policy analysis and development, including leading submissions to Cabinet and Treasury Board, for the Centre for Chronic Disease Prevention and Control, PHAC.

I help to ensure that documents prepared for presentation to Cabinet committees are as robust and complete as possible, using a service delivery perspective to support subject matter experts. As well, I monitor proposed Memoranda to Cabinet originating from other government departments and agencies to account for any possible policy impacts or financial costs on the Agency.

Trade Policy Officer specializing in multilateral technical trade fora such as the World Trade Organization and the Codex Alimentarius. My primary duties were to ensure that international technical standards for agricultural commodities and agri-food products would not adversely affect Canada's international trade interests. This involved a degree of interface with the many industry associations from around the country representing Canada's diverse agricultural production.My secondary duty was to contribute trade policy expertise to the development of the Next Generation Agricultural Policy, developing policy options for consideration at public negotiations.
