Brief summary of the jobs in Cathay Pacific Airways Engineering Department:As I was working in System and PowerPlant group of TAECO, during the six months, I went through two sections of CPA ENG. They are Technical Service PowerPlant Section and Airframe System (Boeing Fleet) Section. My major work items during this half-year are as follows:Handling the technical issues for the aircraft maintenance (line and base) support;OEM / Vendor documents and airworthiness documents (i.e. SB and AD) assessment. Issuing technical document as necessary;Airline Air safety issues (MOR) and "minitech" issues, defect evaluation and report;Monitoring of system component operational parameters during a set period and raising the appropriate documents for performance enhancement;Evaluation the feasibility of A/C maintenance schedule revision and improvement.
