Over the past two years I have been focused on the management of a portfolio of businesses in Uganda, including the development and growth of two retail businesses, the re-positioning and growth of a leading ICT firm (www.cfts.co) and the potential development and capitalization of Maji Chemka Fisheries Ltd. Until May 2011 I worked as a strategy consultant at Deloitte in London focused on economics and policy, public / private investments and the SME and third sectors. Projects and clients included: • Secondment to LOCOG (London 2012) to support the Directors of Strategy and Communications in the strategic and legacy planning of the Olympic and Paralympic Games• Ministry of Defence & Atomic Weapons Establishment: supporting various evaluation, procurement and re-organisation programmes• Qatari Government: an economic impact assessment of their infrastructure plan, (underpinning their successful World Cup bid)• UK Government: Economic Impact Assessments of public / private fund investments in the north east • Academy of Chief Executives: supporting and mentoring the growth of 90 SME'sIn 2006 I completed an MBA gaining a Distinction grade at the University of Durham. I remained as an Executive Member of the Durham Business School Advisory Board until Feb 2012. Prior to my MBA, I spent 10 years developing the Uganda Conservation Foundation (a UK, US and Ugandan registered not-for profit / www.ugandacf.org) and numerous regional recovery and development, research and construction projects, throughout their life cycles. I continue as a Trustee and Director in my spare time supporting corporate governance, fundraising and projects. Since its inception I have raised and leveraged over $2m to field projects. I have also been privileged to be a co-founder of Kyadondo Rugby Club, and in 2002 to coach the Uganda National team, winning the Africa Nations Cup. The club started as a brown field site, hosts 9 teams, and started kids and women's rugby in Uganda.

UCF is a Registered Charity in the UK and not-for profit in Uganda and represents various other charities and organisations in Uganda. Over the years I have raised and managed funds totaling over $2m from small grants, events, lecture tours to the US and challenges, as well as from leveraging private sector support. During my time at Deloitte I also supported a large number of Third Sector projects including for NESTA, the Young Foundation, Comic Relief, Bank of Carbon and the establishment of a number of social enterprises. Whilst at Deloitte I undertook all levels of strategic training, and managed the 'on-boarding' of new employees

The program set out to identify key problems, solve them, develop management structure and stability to attract commercial investment and integrate the area into plans for international investment.
