I founded UCF in 2001. Today UCF is supported by volunteer groups of Trustees in the UK, and Directors in Uganda, each of whom brings a different and much needed professional expertise. UCF is a Registered Charity in the UK and not-for profit in Uganda and represents various other charities and organisations in Uganda. UCF provides a trusted route for support to reach critical projects, providing organisational and management structure for funds and expertise to engage with field projects. UCF continually challenges itself to excel at providing value for money and projects that leave a lasting positive impact and legacy. Over the years I have raised and managed funds totaling over $2m from small grants, events, lecture tours to the US and challenges, as well as from leveraging private sector support. UCF takes on strategically critical projects, including:- Recovery of Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP)- Recovery of Murchison Falls National Park- Supporting University of Washington and INTERPOL in the profiling of elephant Ivory DNA records from the region- Establishing the Uganda Wildlife Authority marine ranger network and capability (including six fully equipped ranger stations and 100 Internationally Accredited trained coxswain rangers)- Establishment of the Veterinary Response Unit in MFNP- Elephant, crop raiding and transmigration research and investments into problem animal control and community development in Ishasha QECA including the construction of 35km of trenches and fencesUCF works in close partnership with the Uganda Wildlife Authority and Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Antiquities in all projects. UCF's small team in Kampala manages the organisation, delivery of projects, communications and Corporate Membership in Uganda. Until May 2011 I worked as a strategy consultant with Deloitte in London focused on economics and policy, public / private investments, due diligence and the SME and third sectors. Projects and clients included:• Secondment to LOCOG (London 2012) to support the Directors of Strategy and Communications in the strategic and legacy planning of the Olympic and Paralympic Games• Ministry of Defence & Atomic Weapons Establishment: supporting various evaluation, procurement and re-organisation programmes• Qatari Government: an economic impact assessment of their infrastructure plan, (underpinning their successful World Cup bid)• UK Government: Economic Impact Assessments of public / private fund investments in the north east• Academy of Chief Executives: supporting and mentoring the growth of 90 SME'sI was also key in bringing the Charity 'Help the Heroes' to be one of Deloitte's three supported charities, providing three years of professional value in kind secondments and engagements, as well a funds being raised. During my time at Deloitte I also supported a large number of Third Sector projects including for NESTA, the Young Foundation, Comic Relief, Bank of Carbon and the establishment of a number of social enterprises. Whilst at Deloitte I undertook all levels of strategic training, and managed the 'on-boarding' of new employees

From a feasibility study, I designed, planned and sourced all funding and successfully managed the entire program. The program set out to identify key problems, solve them, develop management structure and stability to attract commercial investment and integrate the area into plans for international investment.
