I am an outgoing and collaborative scientist with over 8 years of R&D experience in the paint and coatings industry with focuses on colorant pigment evaluations and developing tools for improved corrosion resistance. Science impacts every aspect of our lives, and I enjoy leveraging my innate curiosity and strong team player mindset to support the development of people and innovative products. Currently, I work as a Senior Scientist in the raw materials team at Axalta Coating Systems focusing on global pigment and colorant qualifications in automotive OEM, refinish, and industrial coatings. I also manage a team of associate investigators and oversee laboratory training, career development, and performance management.Prior to joining Axalta, I started my career as an undergraduate researcher at the University of Pittsburgh studying stimuli-responsive behaviors of polymers under the direction of Dr. Tara Meyer. While at Pitt I also gained extensive experience with teaching and analytical chemistry under the direction of Dr. Michelle Ward and Dr. George Bandik.My interests outside of science and product development include trips to the dog park, yoga, road cycling, cooking, singing, playing guitar, and traveling.
