He was vice president and co-founder of Fenton’s Washington online division.Michael was the Washington representative for the Union of Concerned Scientists starting in 2001, where he developed strategies for its corporate and legislative campaigns. In 1999, as national campaigner for Greenpeace Canada, Michael developed and launched the organization’s first biotechnology campaign, which helped double Canadian public awareness of the issue and led to the Montreal Protocol, the first international treaty on biotechnology.
