In his current role as the East Region Employee Relations Manager, Mike has the responsibility to help develop and implement the region employee relations strategies and initiatives, monitor the UPS employee concerns process, oversee the Employee Dispute Resolution (EDR) Process and coordinate the East Region Case Management Review for our legal activity. This respnsibility emcompases the entire east cost of the domestic United States from Maine to Florida, Michigan to Louisiana.

In 2004, Mike accepted a lateral transfer to Massachusetts accepting a position as the Director of Human Resources for the Northeast District. During this time period, he took on greater responsibility as the employee census grew from 5,000 to 20,000 employees covering seven states, (Upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts and Connecticut). While working as the Northeast District Director of Human Resources, Mike was based in Norwood, Massachusetts. This is a position he held until his most recent job assignment in January 2014.

In 2002, Mike was promoted as the Director of Human Resources in the Michigan District for UPS and was transferred to Grand Rapids, Michigan. As the Director of HR, Mike had responsibility for Workforce Planning, Training & Development, Employee Relations and Wellness, Health & Safety. The district census during this time period was 5,000 employees. The HR department was comprised of 25 people.

The employee base grew to over 25,000 withthin over 200 operational facilities. Continued to indirectly develop and manage field health & safety managers and supervisors.
