Currently assigned to the HISA Racetrack Safety Program in the assessment and accreditation of thoroughbred racetracks in the United States and overseeing national uniform integrity and safety rules.

The Breeders' Cup Equine Security Team is made up of both security and state/federal law enforcement personnel from various regulatory agencies and racetracks throughout the U.S. Canada, and Ireland. The BC Equine Security Team currently assists and enhances stable area and racetrack security at the Breeders' Cup international event. The BC team consists of 30 investigators and utilize outside security agencies for on-site post assignments, including working with BC veterinarians.

Assist the New Mexico Racing Commission (NMRC), Texas Racing Commission (TRC), and the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission (OHRC) with enhanced equine security and surveillance for major graded races at Ruidoso Downs, Remington Park, Lone Star Park, and Sam Houston Race Track.

The Organization of Racing Investigators (ORI) was established in 1990 with the purpose of addressing the problems of the pari-mutuel racing industry as they relate to the integrity, security, and general health of the sport. Each year, the ORI holds a well attended annual training conference comprised of racing investigators from thoroughbred, standardbred, quarter horse and greyhound racing associations thorough out North America, Canada, Ireland, and Australia, state regulatory officials and investigators, federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other professionals integral to the horse racing industry.

Assist both the Senior Director of Security and the Equine Medical Director with on-site security and video surveillance on all of the derby horses.

Assisted Los Alamitos Race Course in the implementation and enforcement of their "Equine/Rider Safety Enhancement Plan." Responsible in the monitoring of veterinarian medication practices and assist the racing department with security on selected graded thoroughbred races.

Employed as a consultant for the NTRA Safety & Integrity Alliance accreditation program that has established national uniform standards in the areas of safety and integrity, including 55 race tracks in North America and every major national horseman's organization. The alliance certification standards cover six broad areas: injury reporting and prevention, creating a safer race environment, uniform medications, testing and penalties, safety and research and wagering security.

Assist NYRA investigations with equine security and on-site training during both the Belmont Stakes Grade I and the Travers Grade I races.

Supervised a team of state law enforcement investigators that conducted both criminal and administrative investigations of horse racing and related violations; monitored all cases and complaints submitted for both state and federal prosecution. Responsible for the liaison with both racetracks and local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, including Canadian law enforcement. Over saw the field operations of 4 major southern California racetracks and 13 satellite facility locations. Established security and drug testing policies to be implemented in the horse racing industry. Monitored criminal activity involving licensees and simulcast wagering.

Conducted undercover criminal and administrative investigations involving alcohol related violations at ABC licensed premises; worked with local law enforcement agencies in targeting bars with multiple criminal offenses; at various times assigned to both Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Los Angeles Sheriff Department (LASD) and Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) vice units.

Assigned to both Hilton and Healdsburg fire stations (Sonoma County) and responded to first aid calls and the suppression of fires. Was responsible for the maintenance of assigned fire apparatus and equipment.

While attending California State University, Sacramento, completed a one-year criminal justice internship program assigned to the Investigations Bureau (Felony Intake and Juvenile Hall Branch).
