• Generate and manage all Engineering Documents related with new Launches (DFMEA updates, release of drawings, definition of Key Product Characteristics, generation of BOM, DV testing plan and report, PV testing plan and report, CAE analysis of components)• Supports all Cross functional Team activities from Engineering side (Design and Line Review, PFMEA reviews, Control Plan reviews, etc.)• Coordinate with Project manager and Tooling Engineer all activities related to Prototype and Production tooling, Customer design requirements and specifications• Responsible to generate and assess VA/VE & Cost savings initiatives on the product.• Support the Project managers as required to ensure a successful launch of assigned programs through Engineering activities in the APQP process.• Lead all product related investigations on serial production issues• Lead all prototype and pre-production build requirements for assigned programs and maintain a 100% on time delivery.• Assist in design and feasibility analysis for product launch• Support customer visits to review product related items when necessary• Exchange lessons learned and participate in Engineering communication with other teams or projects• Review and understand product impact on Engineering changes required by the Customer or Internally (Manufacturing, Quality)• Position involves designing, developing and working with customers on product changes.

• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, assembly methods, and quality control standards.• Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.• Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions• Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
