I am a trained Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and a master's degree in Economic Policy Management from Makerere University. I am currently working as a Financial Analyst at PSI Uganda, where I manage the production of Management Accounts and Analytics that aid informed decision-making. My responsibilities include conducting monthly performance financial reviews, budget monitoring, preparing accurate Donor and Annual Operating Budgets, and ensuring donor contract compliance and sub-award management. Additionally, I oversee Payroll preparation and Management.One of my notable achievements is successfully leading the implementation of the QuickBooks (QBE) Accounting system at PSI Uganda and supporting the seamless migration of finance data from the Lawson ERP Accounting system. This proficiency in QuickBooks has greatly improved financial reporting and efficiency.In the area of risk management, I have been integral to developing and implementing an efficient mobile money payment system at PSI Uganda. The robust controls I put in place have effectively mitigated fraud risks associated with Beyonic/online payment methods.In my previous role at Great Lakes Safaris, I played a vital role in business development and project designs, supervising the finance team and leading budgeting efforts. During a three-year tax audit, I skillfully reviewed company tax reports, resulting in substantial tax savings of over 85% through rigorous reconciliations, interpretation of tax laws, and negotiations with the government tax authority (URA).Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in financial management for both private and development agencies, enabling me to enforce clear and sound accountability systems and streamline reporting standards. These efforts have consistently improved financial reporting, efficiency, risk management, and donor compliance.
